If you are looking for something to do on Saturday morning, we have arranged the following to be open for anyone interested in filling in the morning in our beautiful old Heritage Town.

•       The local RSL Hall will be open in the morning.  You will find the RSL hall on the corner of Hampton Road and Bateman Street.  The RSL has been restored with much memorabilia and is really worth a look.  They certainly have done a fabulous display and is really worth visiting.

•       The Museum is also going to be open and worthy of a visit.  You will find the Museum on Hampton Road as you drive into town.  Maybe seek out your ancestors.

•       Our local Markets Day is also being held on Saturday morning in the Kings Hall Park on Hampton Road and you could visit there to buy yourself some local craft and produce.

•       A visit to the Catholic Cemetery on the corner of Stephen Street and West Street is also worth a visit as it has had a facelift for the 150 Celebrations with all the graves being painted and new crosses put on unmarked graves. It is looking really good.   Four Presentation Sisters are buried there.

Parking for the Day – Please see attached Map.

Disabled/Elderly Car Parking – Anyone who has elderly or disabled guests will be able to park in the School carpark next to the Presbytery.  Also parking straight opposite the school on the vacant block of land.   Mary Street will be closed off from Barlow Street corner so if you are elderly or disabled please make use of these parking areas.  Access will be given only to the elderly and disabled to these areas.

Mass – Due to large numbers attending the Mass, the Mass will be held at the School in the K-PP front playground.  The Church will still be opened during the course of day.

Presentation Convent – This will be open during the afternoon if anyone would like to have a look.

See you all there on Saturday, 14th April 2018.

Vision Statement

We are:

* a welcoming community which reaches out to all
* celebrating Christ's presence
* joyfully living out our Christian calling across distance and diversity

This vision states that as a Diocese, we aim to be a welcoming, missionary, centred on Christ, and each striving to live one's particular vocation. It is in living out our calling that we praise God, follow Christ, influence society and achieve the goal of eternal life won for us by Christ. In the parishes we have encouraged people to measure whatever they do against this Diocesan vision.
